The Global Carbon Capture and Storage Institute (GCCSI) is a sponsor member of the IEA Clean Coal Centre. It has announced details of its Project Funding and Support Program which seeks to reach out directly to large-scale CCS project proponents in a flexible and proactive manner. Accordingly, the program is ‘demand’ driven and proposals will be assessed on a case-by-case basis within an ongoing program framework. The Global CCS Institute expects to make available approximately AUD $50 million annually to directly fund and support a substantial portfolio of CCS projects around the world. The Global CCS Institute invites project funding and support applications at any time. Applications will be considered for single or multiple years of funding to allow for greater flexibility in the total amount of funding that can be sought by each applicant, and to cater for the different stages and specific needs in developing a project. Those interested in applying should see the announcement by following the link http://www.globalccsinstitute.com/downloads/work-plan/Global-CCS-Institute-Project-Funding-and-Support-Program.pdf
